In scientific terms, a metallic epoxy floor coating is a low yellowing epoxy with a metallic pigment mixed within. In layman's terms, it is when small, glitter-like pigments are mixed into an epoxy resin and poured onto the floor. Then, when these pigments are agitated with a paintbrush or roller, they gather separate, twist and turn. By doing so, they reflect light at different angles and create the glare that makes them popular.
Eventually, this epoxy will harden and the metallic pigments become stuck into place and give the floor a three dimensional, swirly look. The installation will determine the final look. That makes the process critical in order to achieve the desired look.
